With a recent decree, Circular 44 of 24/03/2020, the Government has introduced a babysitter bonus from 600 to 1000 euros per household.
Here we have collected the most frequent ask questions (FAQs) – and answers to them – on how to claim the babysitter bonus.
Who gets the babysitter bonus?
The bonus is due to:
- Those who have children under 12 years of age (by 5 March 2020)
- Those who have adopted or foster children;
- Those who have children over 12 years of age with serious disabilities, provided they are enrolled in schools of all levels or housed in day care centres;
- Families with both working parents.
Private employees, workers enrolled exclusively in the INPS Separate Administration, and self-employed workers (enrolled and not in the INPS, but in the latter case subject to notification by the respective social security funds) may benefit.
For healthcare personnel and law enforcement agencies the bonus is up to 1,000 euros, and is paid by INPS through the family booklet.
How – and from whom – is the babysitter bonus requested?
The babysitter bonus can only be requested from INPS in 3 ways:
- On the website www.inps.it by accessing the citizen services with the INPS pin or with the SPID;
- By contacting the Integrated Contact Center on the free number 803164 (from landline) or 06164164 (from mobile);
- By going to the patronage.
And if I am not entitled to the bonus, can I still hire a babysitter?
If you do not have a babysitter
- Access your reserved area and publish an advertisement
- Meets the babysitter (during this period of national detention carries out the interviews via video call)
- Fill in the form to regularize your baby-sitter, you will find it among the menu items
- Sign the proxy and the contract and upload them scanned
- Enter the payment method (card or account of your choice)
- Now start working! The babysitter will check in via App every time she works
If you already have a babysitter
- Register your baby-sitter for free at the Le Cicogne portal by clicking here
- Fill in the form to regularize your baby-sitter, you will find it among the menu items
- Sign the proxy and the contract and upload them scanned
- Enter the payment method (card or account of your choice)
- Write us in chat, inside the reserved area, to tell us that you already had your baby-sitter
- Now start working! The babysitter will check in via App every time she works
